Street art

Walking in Köln is a thrill for all of the senses. There is the feel of the cobblestone streets under your feet. The smell of what must be pork is in the air. The music from the buskers sing in your ears. And, of course the street is ever present.

I have to look up the meaning of some of the art. Or, ask can a person far more local than me. What I find is something that allows me to understand the people of this city better. Overall, the meaning is all about fairness and inclusion. Sometimes it is just plain funny and sweet. The stones, buildings, posters, paint and lights splash up and drench me with their messages. It is the town talking and sharing its secrets. I am enjoying my new friend, Köln.
